Thanks, it is the chunky bit at the top of the 5's that I am curious on. Having a hard time seeing clearly with my loop. The bottom one seems more likely, but could just be wear and age. TerryT Pillar of the Community Canada 822 Posts	Posted 01/24/2021 02:13 am I'd say it's small 5 over large 5. The underlying 5 has a longer top and sticks out on both sides of the smaller 5, and the back(down stroke)is also evident, and the ball. Report this Post to the Staff

You would need two extra punches to make both the raised top part, and have the down stroke end even with the same line on the prominent 5. Purelywasted's close-up - The downstroke on the underlying 5 doesn't go down as far as the Silver Nickel's example. (maybe was longer but lost from wear) Report this Post to the Staff
47P7 Pillar of the Community Canada 1505 Posts	Posted 01/25/2021 11:19 am purelywasted Photo # 2, IMO, may be a S5/S5 but u would have a hard time proving it. there is not enough evidence/ underlying remains would be interesting to see what ICCS would say? AND, in the future, Please remove coins from 2x2, as we all know what a 2x2 looks like. The plastic does impair the image of the coin. especially when it is difficult like this coin is.
