Looking but alot of die shift obverse. I think were on to some thing here.
chadcoins,
There are 2 versions of the 1970
DDR, a collector on the CCF back in 2012/2013 (i think) it was, found a
DDR on the 1970 but
only shows doubling in "CANADA" and no doubling present on the date.
A few months ago, I aquired over a dozen rolls of MS/BU quality 1970's and a good handfull of circulated rolls and found a full roll of the 1970
DDR showing doubling on
"1970" + "CANADA".
The 1970
DDR with only "CANADA" doubled is more common, finding the 1970
DDR with the "1970" + "CANADA" both doubled, has proven to be harder to find.

On another note I sorted through over a 1000 1976 and found 0 of your doubled die
oldmike,
Thank you for taking the time to look, an I'm glad you found yourself a couple examples!
I usually dont sell coins either unless I have doubles or find something that I think may interest collectors, only reason I mentioned BU/MS in my original post was because it is easier to compare to higher grades.
My entire coin collection is about 90% Doubled Dies, so the obsession is very real.
As for the 1976
DDO, its a recluse that refuses to come out of hiding no matter how hard I look (and I look extremely hard, no exaggeration). I actually scooped up all of the 1976 BU rolls I could find on
ebay and came up empty handed.
