tropicalbats Pillar of the Community United States 6108 Posts	Posted 01/25/2021 10:50 am Found a couple of these along with several other varieties in a BU roll. Really good roll. I discovered this doubled die a while ago on a well-circulated coin but it was clear enough and had markers so Mr. Wexler listed it. There are a couple other very similar doubled eyes, so having markers was key. It's not impossible that they are all just die stages of the same die, but for now they are separated, and maybe once a few more higher grade examples get found it will get worked out. This is another I plan to submit for possible CONECA listing as they show no doubled eye varieties for the year and this seems as strong as a couple other similar examples from other years. 1948-S Lincoln Wheat cent doubled die - WDDO-006 Report this Post to the Staff
