I have not had two seconds to rub together to try to find the mint mark you speak of, and frankly the Spanish pillar dollars are a coin that I am so terribly unfamiliar with, I have no idea where the heck it would be anyway. But I will look! Lol! And as for where I came across the coin, it was in a book of ancient coins in the front of the album along with some pesos and other things from the 19th century and it just caught my eye ...had no idea what it was. Anyway I bought the whole collection and now I can go to work on figuring out what I have. Lol! The ancient coinage is really cool, and includes some crazy boat money / tiger tongue And other weird stuff from China That's of course almost impossible to figure out what the heck it is. Numisma Pillar of the Community United States 4963 Posts	Posted 01/26/2021 10:45 pm The mint mark should be just to the left of the "8R." I think I see Mexico City under the "AB," which makes sense. The date should be under the "D.G." on the obverse. I can't see anything, though. Report this Post to the Staff
