The gold ?plated? coin looks to be too obviously round to be genuine and leads me to think it is more correctly termed as a 'copy', rather than a fake.
What is the accurate weight*, and approximate diameter*?
* The accurate weight will give an indication if it is gold or only gold plated. ** The diameter will give and indication of the denomination and original face value.
Further investigation can follow after this.

Does the gold one feel heavy in the hand perhaps, or does it 'feel' light? To my eyes, they both look genuine to me, but I'm not the expert on these type coins.

Not sure on the weight. I can try to get a weight on it tonight when I get home Grams?. The size I am also assuming you are asking in millimeters? Still relatively new to this stuff so forgive my lack of knowledge.

and yes, the gold coin does feel "heavy" as I would expect a gold coin of its size to feel.

As a quick reference, they are both approximately the size of a quarter or slightly smaller

The silver coin appears to be a 1-reale of Carlos and Johanna, Mexico City mint. Looks genuine. I have no experience with the gold.

Boy Kushanshah, I think you hit the nail on the head! It sure does match up nicely to the Carlos and Johanna 1 Reales I am seeing online. Thank you for the help!

The first coin is also Carlos and Johanna (1504-1555). A 1 escudo from Sevilla.
The obverse legend is IOANA · ET · KAROLVS · And the reverse is HISPANIARVM · REGES : SICILI.
from the photos it looks okay, but I couldn't say for sure, especially with types I am not completely familiar

Thank you Victor! Lots of great information. I guess the next step is to take it somewhere to see for sure that they are real.

I think the obverse of your coin matches this one, Seville mint, S * and legends punctuated with single annelets. https://www.acsearch.info/search.html?id=1785620The reverse has some minor differences. I agree with @sel that it is unusually round and well-centered, but examples of similar quality certified as authentic can be found on-line. If real, it's a beauty!

Thanks Tdziemia. It does look very similar. The ones I have been seeing online seem to match up quite well. I spoke with Mr. Daniel Sedwick who seems to think they are the real deal. Quite happy at this point.
