My grandmother has this 1896 Barber quarter, and we were both wondering what it would be worth, so I asked her if I could take it to photograph it and ask here, she let me.
I wondered what you all thought of its grade and its worth, and if it's anything special.

I spent about half an hour with an 80x loupe trying to figure out if it was a P or an S, I kept seeing an S, but I think that's just my imagination.

I'd say AG details (environmental damage).

First,

I'm at Fair-02, undecided on details or straight grade.

Can't tell of any mint mark from the picture, and yeah, I'd be looking for that "S" too

Barely AG03 and probably Details, ED. I'm not seeing a mintmark, making this a Phili. Given its condition not worth much more than its weight in silver. If it did have an S mintmark, it would be worth quite a bit more.

Rest in Peace

FR-02 Details . Could be swayed either way . Not much value here unless you naturally wear it down a little more then send it in and hope for a low ball designation .
