Hi, passing through some rolls for my own list, I fund this one which have the inscription "restricted to Iowa residents". Do it is a normal thing from the mint?   thanks |

I have never seen a roll labeled like that. I wonder if other states did similar things. My guess is it was an early release at the time.

It was a marketing gimmick from a third party seller, they bought bags from the mint, rolled them like this, put ads in local papers for each appropriate state and sold them for a 500% mark-up.

Wow, someone's make moneys. Interesting. My price was 8.50$ at a local auction somewhere in Tx.
So it is not a legitimate roll from Denver, no numismatic interest.

How many quarters are in the roll? A full roll would be $10 face value. Of course it wouldn't surprise me if a third party marketed smaller rolls to make a larger profit.

I didn't open. You are right to say this. You are very gentile with those "third party". I do not have right words to qualify those creatures.
In the future if I do find in my collection something MS better then 64 I will open to look, but for the moment no.

Yeah, marketing gimmick from World Reserve Monetary Exchange. it also came with a little velvet type bag and one coin in a capsule as a set, I think the roll is either $5.00 face, or 25 coins, not sure about that. they took out ads in each state to sell them around the times of the release. there's one on ebay but Pennsylvania https://www.ebay.com/itm/WORLD-RESE...AOSwm79ctjEcHe's not gonna get $16.00 for it though. |

Thanks Big_Kindom, nice explanation.
Now I understand more about those gimmicks.
I look at the e-bay sell. I thing the bag worth more then the coins, because is nice, not authentic.
I have somewhere one, really one, and do not have the US eagle on 'it, and it is more bigger.
