The writing looks Hindi, so I'll guess the origin is India--perhaps a temple token?
Please correct me if I'm wrong here.

I'd like to know too, but I'm not sure these are dated.
I cannot read Hindi, but I went by appearance.
Let's wait for a better answer.

Yep, it is indeed another temple token. See this thread for more examples.
