Hello I am kinda new to this but I found this note the other day and was hoping someone could please shed some light as to how much something like this would be worth. It isn't in the best of shape but it is really misaligned and fairly old. Thank you in advance for any feedback. I already looked on ebay but couldn't find anything with the same amount of Misalignment or condition.

Welcome to CCF. The general rule-of-thumb used by error collectors on cutting errors is that a portion of an adjoining note should be visible in one of the margins. If you look closely, you can see a sliver of the adjoining note in the lower right margin of the note below. Yours is close, but not quite considered an error. Your note was printed in July 1981, making it 40 years old.

It would be a spender for me. It falls into the close but no cigar category.

@SteveinTampa, I'm curious, what is the approximate value of a note like the one you posted (with a sliver of the second note showing)? I've seen one locally (a $20) and was never sure if it should be close to face value or actually has a significant premium.
