Hello I was going through my pennies again and found a possible error. Ot doesn't look like damage after because the actual d is not effected. The back is in good order and seems normal. I am excited about this penny because in the 1000s I have gone through it seems to be the closest to a good find. Thanks for helping!

Appears to be a classic example of split plating at the mint mark--not that uncommon with Zincoln cents. When struck, copper splits at the mint mark, exposing zinc. Zinc rots sets in, looking like a divot in close proximity to the mint mark.

I agree, very classic split plating and zinc rot. It's hard to tell, but it looks like there is some split plating at the top of the motto letters as well. Spend it while you can.
