I know I post quite a bit of these, especially from this year (the lettering is so fat on them!) But this one really caught my eye. Unfortunately, it has awful plating bubble pox and that is preventing me from matching up die markers. Can anybody help me figure out which DDO, if indeed it is one at all, that this could be? It looks similar to a few on VarietyVista and doubleddie.com but I'm struggling to match it since the bubbles obscure any die scratches that might be there. I do see what looks like notching on the bottom of the E in WE, and a ton of extra thickness in GOD WE, woth a little bit maybe on trust, and what appears may be a doubling line on the 2 in the date.

On the DDO, the devices are even larger:

I get that, are you telling me the south side of the letters in GOD and the E in WE don't look way bigger than a normal cent? I have several 1982's and I'm looking at them side by side right now, these letters are quite larger comparatively. Just trying to understand the difference, I know die wear can make stuff look different but I wouldn't be able to tell myself since I have very limited experience.

I suggest you look at as many DDO's from 82 as possible. The text box at the top left of every page here on CCF is your friend.

I am definitely trying to take all the information in stride. I just struggle with the 80's pennies. I keep studying but I'm not getting any closer to figuring them out lol

Could I suggest something. When you find a 1982 large date that is suspect, set it aside for later. The 82 large date is a difficult design to learn about hub doubling on , especially the class VI dies.
Keep studying and searching then revisit your stash in the future.
