Found this Lincoln Penny while penny role hunting. Thoughts? The rubbed area does not have indicators or sanding or grinding.Is there any process at the mint that could have caused this or is this intentional damage?

Not an error, didn't leave the mint in that condition. Abrasion took down the rim and reverse high points. I've seen many, many Zincolns in this condition.
