I wish I had better news about your commemoratives, but I don't. They are private issues (not in any way affiliated with the U.S. Mint). If the commem is gold colored, it is "layered" and has no appreciable gold content. I would guess they would be worth about what was paid for them ... I think they were offered in the mid-80's for about $5 each.

I have found a set of four 100th ann of birth of Franklin Delano Roosevelt First Day Issue 999.9 fineness Silver Dollars. Apparently my father purchased the set from an add in Fleet Reserve magazine. I know about your answers regarding private issues, I'd just like some info about these. They are in plastic sleeves, in an envelope post marked GPO Roseau, Dominica with a comerative stamp (.60) apparently issued out of Dominica May 1st 1982. Any help would be Greatly appreciated
