Rocky, I really have no idea what you are referring to! Gold? Brass? Paris? Leaves attached at both ends?

okiecoiner I met with a mining company engineer today. there XRF unit is at there mines up north. there is a load of core coming in to the capital city. that will be in roughly 6 weeks. that is when the unit returns to the capital. they are going to allow myself. to go to the core bundle shed. at that time this coin will be XRF. so we will know what it is then. I hope you all have a great one

As long as it is set/calibrated for copper/brass/bronze, it should be OK. Is the coin that you are going to XRF the 1897 cent that started this thread? I don't understand the need for an XRF. Unless you are checking for the odd mention of gold in your post above?

the 1897 dies are breaking apart. the front face of her crown is out in the blank relief space away from her head. you can see the small jewels. part of her earlobe and earring is up in her hair. here are the images. I got a call from a coin dealer. he will test my coins as early. as tomorrow weather permitting.
