Need input from fellow collectors if either this Great Britian 1853 Half Penny is a proof or regular circulating penny . The weight of this comes to 9.51 gms . Numista KM#739a shows proof composition as bronze coated coppers .The pictures donot do justice to the original beauty.

Hi Muhammad.
What you have there is the regular currency strike. There's also clear evidence of minimal wear indicating your coin was in circulation for a limited period.
The 1853 proof looks like this:

Thankyou for the replay - better still knowing that its a standard circulation coin with minimal wear making it a rarity - which was spendable & could had seen a lot worse.

Yes, copper is a very soft metal and wear shows quickly so your half penny won't have been in circulation for very long. Being a very common date high grade specimens are plentiful and I would suggest your coin is worth around £25.
