Just started, found a surprisingly nice 1982 small date zinc. Would like to know if it's worth having graded.
Thanks in advanced
B.

Certainly a nice coin. But very common. Would need to be a PCGS 67+ at least to justify grading. Can't say if it is or not from the pictures.

Agree, very nice example. However, there are many, many of these inj high grades to be found--fairly common. For fun, check ebay SOLD/COMPLETED SALES information on PCGS/NGC/ANACS graded '82 memorial cents.

Very nice to add to your collection, but not worth slabbing. Please,in future posts crop a little better and properly rotate pics before posting...thanks.

When grading these zinc coins do they take into account the bubbling in the copper plating?

EDM - from what I learned on CCF the blister/bubbling will not lower the Grade of a Coin by a TPG.

I bought my MS65 for $20. Grading would have cost more than the coin.

It would have to grade at least MS-68 to be worth the effort. Based on the pictures given, looks to be 65-66 at best IMO.
