Hi,
First one is Israel, 25 Agorot, 1979, KM#27b
My Krause catalogue says 1979 was struck for sets only; mintage is the lowest of the series (31,590)

Thanks to both of you. akglen thanks for the link. Was able to determine that the second coin is from Taiwan - Republic of China (y#536 1 Yuan (1960-1980)).

Looks like the date is 1000 + 4 + 10 + 6 (the first four characters of obverse legend top)

This would make it year 64 for their calendar. Add 64 to 1911 and the minting date would be 1975 of our calendar.

Hope this helps.

Check again, KurtS. My Krause has a mintage for this coin (KM# 27) at 10.8 million in 1979; this is the regular, aluminium-bronze circulation issue with no mintmark. The one with 31,590 mintage is KM# 27b; that coin is cupronickel (silvery-coloured) and with a Star-of-David mintmark.
