Yeah, that is a nice find. They are of same value to our quarters and made of the same materials. That's why they are easily passed as our quarters in the meters or vending machines.

Nice find. It is always cool to find a foreign coin in a U.S. roll.

Not very surprising.
Panama coins have the same planchets as US coins. This one most probably deliberately or accidently released into circulation by a Panamanian immigrant or a U.S. citizen returning home.

Lots of Australian and New Zealand coins circulate in South Pacific countries that are tolerated or are in illegal circulation, where exchange rates with the issue country may be different.

I've found two of them over the years of quarter roll hunting. Mintange was 6 million, it's Cathedral Tower in Panamá Viejo, Panama City on the coin, it's a stone bell tower built in 1626.

Material Copper Nickel Clad Copper (same as a U.S. quarter)
Weight 5.67 g
Diameter 24.26 mm
Thickness 1.65 mm

it's dated 2003, they were minted in 2004 by the Royal Canadian Mint.
in the Standard Catalog of World Coins it's Panama - KM#135.

That's all I know. LOL

Very beautiful design and a nice coin. Some circulated coins acquire a certain kind of beauty from the environment and this is one of them!
