Plated. Super shiny surface is a dead giveaway. If your local sources say it's not plated, I'd find new sources. Did they offer to buy the coin from you? If so, take the money and run.

to the CCF!

Linsdtn... My apologies if this was mentioned earlier. Have you considered sending the coin to a third party grading service for attribution and grading?

Send it off to be graded if you're so sure.

But, it's nickel plated after the mint if the XRF is correct. Hand held XRFs usually can only go several microns deep, hence the high nickel reading.

Zinc Lincoln are 97.5% zinc 2.5% copper. Its plated

But if you want to grade it, or attempt because it wont grade, send it to PCGS.

They just said the highest content was nickel 33% and there was zinc and copper in that order there was nothing else In this.we asked if it had anything else to it. They said no. Its just as it reads. So this had come from the mint this way. This machine would have shown anything else if it was changed they said.

So what are you saying that someone else nickel plated it? I don't believe so.the weight is dead on. And there are no bubbles its a perfect coin.
