I past through 20 sets I have and no one is like this. Could be really scarce variety?

Sorry Silviosi,
Even though your post is interesting, the article is about US coins!
the geographical area just to the south of Canada.
and this forum is about Canadian coins.
to the best of my knowledge, Canada has not used mintmarks for a very long time, like, I think, 1919 ( 1919 C sov ?)
Perhaps the Mods will move it to the US coins forums?

As well as the 5,10, 25 and 50 cents, plus the 1 and 2 dollar coins can also be found with the W mint mark.

Guys I talk about Us 1942 and 1974 mint mark, have nothing to do do with W Canadian mint mark.

Wonder if the older MM punches were destroyed as the San Francisco mint stopped production after 1955 but somehow kept this one?
