Hi All,

Can you help me identify this coin, is it real? If so how much is it worth? I have narrowed it down to being Portcullis Money for the East India Trade Company, It is about 23mm wide, weighs about 3 or 4 grams.

Not even nearly I'm afraid. This looks to be a cast copy - probably not even silver.

Thanks for the quick reply, shame, although it did lead me down a history lesson whilst trying to find out, so what would the purpose of making such a fake be if they would be so easily distinguished as being so?

Look below the portcullis and you'll see WRL clearly stamped there.
Westair Reproductions Limited.
These are sold on presentation cards at museum gift shops etc.
