Republic gold Proof 5 Pesos 1915 PR67 Ultra Cameo NGC, Philadelphia mint, KM19, Fr-4. Mintage: 50. A remarkable survivor of the type, with an incredible amount of cameo-producing frost across the raised elements and near-flawless mirrors that are endless in their depth and virtually absent any forms of handling. A few, pinpoint toning spots are noted in the obverse fields, but are only visible with the aid of magnification. A miraculous jewel, truly worthy of its superior technical designation, and likely to remain unchallenged at this top level of certification.

I enjoy collecting Cuban coins of this era. They were struck by the US Mint, and often on planchets also used for US coinage.

I have a nice mint state example of the G5P in my collection but no gold proof coins. The proof coins can be quite stunning in hand, but also quite expensive!
