Will you check to see if your 1991 D penny is slightly magnetic? And do you know what the weight is. I had mine taken it a place with a totally accurate machine just for this type of test, you put your coin into it and wait a bit then it will tell you what and how much of what it consists of. Mine is 33% nickel. Weight is 2.49 and has not been chemically stripped.
And is slightly attracted to a magnet . There was no chrome. 33% nickel zinc and copper in that exact order.so please see if its a little magnetic
