I see this listing on ebay. It looks to me that this coin has been cleaned. My suspicion is raised due to the dark ring next to the rim. Am I correct?

No way to tell from that pic. Pass on it. I'd never buy a coin with only those pics and after all, it's not worth a buck unless it's MS64RD anyway.

Cannot tell with that photo- it is too small and too much light was used which washes out the detail and makes the coin look too bright. Also, there is no reverse photo so you cannot even see half the coin!

ROFL...typical crappy ebay photo, you can't tell ANYTHING from that picture except that it's a coin. LOL

Like bherring said, PASS PASS PASS. The 44S in true BU can be found everywhere for cheap. Wait until you find one that's positively a nice red MS coin.
