Magicians coins are create in a machine shop on a metal lathe. They are not mint errors, they are Post Strike Damage. ( PSD) They are intended to deceive. There are many ways there are done and seeing how they are done, helps us spot, that they are all fakes: Two coins are always involved. Both altered one way or another: On this one, you can see the double line on the altered insert coin. The other half of the coin is altered looking like the first set of images. Sometimes they shaved down to glue them together. Another coin added:
Sometimes they are altered to make them look like rotated die coins and sold as one. They can be opened I've heard is you place one inside a glass container and move it side by side. If they are are like the first images. (but if they are glued, they might not come apart)
