Republic 5 Francos 1891-A MS65 PCGS, Paris mint, KM12. A gorgeous specimen of this one-year type, Gem Uncirculated with most attractive steel toning over essentially unmarked fields as expected for the designation. A true condition rarity in this select quality. The only regular full fineness crown struck by this country, this issue was commissioned to the Allard Belgian company who had it struck at the Paris Mint (hence the "A" mintmark) from dies engraved by Paulin Tasset. Mintage of 150,000 pieces.
