I'm doing research on some items from the 1930's that were given to my father-in-law. I have some really cool old paper money, but I also have this coin. I know there are a lot of replicas. What kind of place can I take it to to have it appraised or authenticated? It's really rubbed out and worn. I tried to get a thickness picture, but it's so thin, I could barely photograph it. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks.

I know very little of these, but this doesn't look right to my eye. Hope I'm wrong.

to CCF. Does not look genuine, but need better photos in focus and less glare.

Thanks for the quick reply. I didn't anticipate it being real from 1652. I know it was collected sometime in the 1930's, so I wonder if there is value in the older replicas. I just don't know who would know that. I'm new to this antique money thing. It's really interesting and I'm finding myself falling down some major wormholes reading about the history of it all.

Looks like a base metal casting in these pics.

Cast in lead, even with a provenance taking it back to the '30s, a crude repro like this will not have much commercial value.
