There's a few things your not understanding about cleaning your coins . Coins don't wear from a simple sudsy wash ,but you are taking away from natural mint luster and the appeal of an original coin which is sort after by mostly all collectors . A cleaned coin is frown apon by the hobby . Try selling it to a dealer , they will give you a fraction of it's true value because it was cleaned .

This coin falls into EF range, but since its a common date, these later dates are common in bulk lots, so there's not much premium for a single coin, unless you're selling it specifically EF-AU lots. It is nevertheless a Mercury dime that many and I love collecting, hoarding it.

T-BOP - I know I know, I can't get it through my thick skull...
MAC - I was just looking to add one, that's all. Not an investment. And curious what the grade would REALLY be as the seller listed it as "almost uncirculated"...
