I love this coin, it is my first big purchase when I got into the hobby several years ago. Won on Heritage and already graded. I sent it off to be redone IMO I thought it deserved slightly better, got it back. What would you all give it?

Thank you, came back 65+. In this case PCGS was very consistent, it was 65+ years ago and 65+ now. It does make me wonder about the regrade (first time, probably last time I'll do it) whether or not the grader really doesn't know what it came in as.
I did get a great pic of it though for my background :).

Curious how this one looks in hand. My guess is they possibly dropped it 1/2 point for the subdued luster on a few high points.

Luster looks pretty good to me, I would have said MS-66. Did you crack it out and send it in raw, or send it for a re-grade in the original holder?

PCGS is tough on these. the 80(CC) should be sharp and bold so the strike on this one is AVG-. some broken luster across the jaw and neck. the fields and cheek look pretty good. the coin has nice eye appeal. I had it MS65.
please wait 48 hours to post grades

Stellar coin. I was going to say MS-65, but I showed up too late.

At first glance (at the obverse)I was at MS66 but after looking closely at the reverse I believe a couple hard hits might have held it back. Stunning example regardless.

Sorry all and thank you! Very proud to own this one. I'll hold off posting the grades a bit longer :).
I was expecting MS66 at the least, not a big deal though. Yes I sent it in the holder, I do not trust my excavation skills with this coin enough to dig it out myself :)
