From what I could find on values, I don't think it was a steal in the condition it is in but Numista says it has $9 of silver in it, and $14 is not far off from that Report this Post to the Staff

I love me the gothics - it is not that bad, I would say its full VG, these coins had notoriously high relief on the shields and thus they can be worn flat by Fine and quite dull at VF. Plus you have a historic work of art there, they were the culmination of the Victorian obsession with medievalism (You know like all those Victorian mansions with pointed windows).
