If it were a doubled die, then it would be raised and enlarge the devices: http://doubleddie.com/2010837.html Look at this site and see where the real DDR's located. Right where the X meets on the image above. Why this area? When you get down to where it mentions the word "kiss" you in the correct area as to why that central area is affected.
