Wondering what this is on the D in Dollar on Rev. This is in a Proof set 1987-S When you look at it thru a 60X loop it looks like the same metal as the coin Sorry I can not give full coin images not equip. yet.

Can't tell for sure, but might it be a tiny piece of debris not on the half, but between the coin and the plastic case?

It does look like a piece of something like lint got trapped between the coin and plastic as stated.

Just when you look at it with a 60X loop it looks like the coin metal

I'd back off the "contrast" a bit, the coin is too difficult to view. A bit less contrast might help. Thanks.
