Effective February 28, 2021, the RCM is charging sales tax on gold plated silver coins. This year's Master's Club iconic maple leaf coin is $30.00 more than the 2020 version. The RCM informed me that the federal government of Canada is now forcing the Mint to charge tax on some of its coins. I live in Ontario where we have harmonized sales tax (HST). The tax on top of the posted amount is 13%. I did not get any notification whatsoever from the Mint before placing my order. Cancelled today.
