Parnelli917 Valued Member United States 392 Posts	Posted 03/07/2021 2:36 pm Almost overlooked this coin cause it isn't all that nice. Then I saw something wrong in "LIBERTY". I checked with Cuds on Coins and could not find anything that looks like this. I did learn however that BIE die chips can also be LII (extra I in "LIBERTY") chips. Whatever the designation, I just think its cool! Please let me know if you think it is a BIE or something else. The extra "I" is as high a relief as the other letters. That doesn't mean its not a plating issue, just that I have poor eyesight! I did find a hairline die crack running through it that my pictures did not show. Here's a new one. Does this make it any easier to determine whether it is a plating issue or a die chip? Or should I keep poking?! Report this Post to the Staff
