For investing I buy and deal only in specific places. For hobby I just pay what ask because I want to have. Example: few days ago I give to one seller 50 bucks for a blue book penny worth 3$. Was miss me for more then 2 years and I want to complete. maybe this summer I will start to sell some, then I will go to up-grade my self on market price. Till that moment excuses me I can not pronounce on the market price's. Who answer to your topic (others then me) they know better, and they are honest on this issues. This is is the typical reverse for 1992 cents, so it's worth only face value. Here's a good list of the different reverse design varieties and which ones are rare: http://www.varietyvista.com/01b%20L...arieties.htm Silvio's error-ref link is unrelated to the 1992 design varieties. The extremely rare 1992 " Close AM"s are cents struck with a reverse design intended for use the following year (1993). Nothing to do with proof coinage. Report this Post to the Staff
Scuba1 Valued Member United States 356 Posts	Posted 03/09/2021 12:14 am Silviosi, with all due respect, your link is misleading for Bigwho and it is referring to the 1998 S and the 1999 S PROOFS which are an entirely different ballgame. Bigwho's coin is not a proof, it is not either of these dates, it is a 1992 D, and it is a normal Denver minted business strike with normal spacing of the AM. Bigwho808, I can 100% assure you your coin is a normal 1992 D business strike with the normal Wide AM. I have collected and found numerous WAM's over the years and have been looking for a 1992 CAM most of my life but have yet to find one. Please give it the 'Boy Scout effort' and do some online research regarding the different close and Wide AM's. Believe me, I would be ecstatic if this was a 1992 CAM but it simply isn't.
