Birthday notes are an ebay gimmick - no definition of a birthday note exists, and scammers try to mislead buyers everyday. As they say, a "nothingburger".

A legitimate Birthday note for me is MM/DD/YEAR . Note number MA07041952B would be July 4th 1952. Any thing else, to me, is "Almost" or maybe interesting.

I pretty much agree with Steve, but I would include notes with dates in the DD/MM/YYYY format as well.
