Hey, I got another coin requiring some ID help. It's got the legend "AVK MANTROPAIANOC" on the obverse and "ECCA?VNIKEON" on the reverse. It's 25mm and weighs in at 7.3 grams.

Thanks Palouche!!! The reverse of my coin is an exact match! Now all I have to do is find a match for the obverse.

Severus Alexander. Yours seems to have the same obverse legend, just beginning at a different position.

I've had a good look online and in my references but I can't find an exact match to both obverse and reverse on the same coin but either is easy to find alone. I would describe your coin as follows:

Moesia Inferior (Thrace), Markianopolis, Severus Alexander, AD 218-235, AE 25mm, Julius Gaeticus magistrate (c. 222-224). O: AVT K M AVP CEVH - AΛEΞANΔPOC. Laureate bust right wearing cuirass and paludamentum, seen from behind. R: VΠ IOV ΓETOVΛ-IK-OV MAPKIANOΠ; in left field, OΛ; in right field, IT; in exergue, ΩN. Hygieia standing facing, head right, feeding serpent from patera. Cf. Varbanov 1745, Moushmov 724 and AMNG I/1, 990.
