hey watsup everyone, All's well I trust. I just broke the seal on my 1969 proof set today as I could see something but I'm not sure, I tried to compare HD photo to MD photo examples but it gets the better of me. can you guys please help me with this coin, thank you
to CCF. Looks like Machine Doubling, in this case tripling. Proof coins are struck at least two times as opposed to a business strike that is only struck once. John1
Well I for one is just getting up from a decent nights sleep. but fear not! the experts here will see your post and give you an evaluation of your coin for you.
Machine Doubling and flat field doubling. (So the Machine Doubling affected each strike) The first MD was flattened during the second strike, thus creating the flat field doubling. Neither a plus for the coin.
