This looks to me like a partial collar off center broad strike. It's damaged in that a dent is around the "ON" of ONE that pushes out the shoulder on the obverse.

But it has a full rim on both sides, so I don't think it was an Encased Coin.

Let me know what you think. I don't find many MAD's or broad strikes in old Wheat cent bags. Figure they must be seen and removed before they wind up in these bags.

Looks like a damaged coin. Maybe an escapee of the token holder? If it were a broadstruck, it wouldn't have rims.

Ok. Thanks Coop. Guess I was flipping that around in my mind that the broad struck would have a rim. If its an encased, then the dent could be the effort to get it out of the encasement to spend.

usually affects both sides of the coin. So it maybe a different way of altering the coin holder that alters the coin when they are pressed into the colder:

If you have them in the holder, leave them there. Removing the coin will always be a damaged coin from that point on. Not matter how good the coin looks in the holder, leave it there. A coin in a holder will be worth more than a damaged coin.

Agree, most likely damaged by a bezel.

Agreed it looks like a former Encased Coin. Someone recently posted they thought they had a broadstrike, and I posted links, did you read that one sheldius?

Thanks coinfrog and John1.
I did search (not long though) but only found a 2018 entry. I thought mine looked different since the ones in pictures looked sanded or cut out. The double rim on mine looked different. As Coop pointed out maybe squeezed in. It takes me 3 to 4 errors anyway to zero in on a new one for me anyway. I'm slow to learn and I just don't see any of these in wheat bags. LOL.
