Aw rats! I just got an email that the Long Beach Coin Show scheduled for mid-June has been cancelled. Also, the monthly shows in Anaheim for April and May have been cancelled. The last show that I was able to go to was the February 2020 Long Beach Expo and was really looking forward to this one. I was thinking what with the vaccines and all it would be a go. Let's hope they can get the September show in. Are any of you in an area where they're having shows? Here in So Cal they just keep cancelling them.

Coin shows and COVID-19 should not be mixed. That is why none have been held, at least in Australia. As a result, my social numismatic activities have been at a standstill for more than a year. That is despite the fact that Australia has been relatively free from COVID-19 for almost all of that period.

The one scheduled for June 25/26 in the east bay is still on. Of course that could change. No where as big as Long Beach only 30 dealers but it's still a show.

The last show I attended was last February as well. I missed the one this year and the fall show last October. Neither were canceled, but where I live too many people have not taken this thing seriously. Quote: I was thinking what with the vaccines and all it would be a go. Long Beach is where my wife went to graduate school (CSULB aka LBSU). For what it is worth, she is from The Valley. Fer sure, fer sure.

My son married Southern California girl. Now live in Sydney Their wedding night was on the QM1 at Long Beach. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Actually QM1 would be a really good venue for coin show !

I heard that it got too expensive to keep up so it was sold off. If I'm not mistaken, it was dismantled and moved up the coast to someplace in Oregon.

I like to go to big shows, but the Long Beach shows are not on my list. I live on the East Coast so the cost of transportation and accommodations would be too much. Definitely equal to a couple good coins. The Baltimore Whitman Shows are my number 1 but there have been 5 canceled because of COVID. I suspect the November show will be a "go". I've been to two ANA shows over the years, New Orleans and Wash, DC. I want to do one FUN Show and one Central States. That's about it; that will keep me east of the Mississippi.

I had the recurring coin show dream this weekend. The one where I am finding unbelievable deals. Double sad when I woke up. No deals, no shows.
