Not the prettiest Gallienus you will ever find
But for a coin of an emperor of which David Sear (in an early volume) once unforgettably described as having some of "the most miserable examples of Roman Imperial coinage ever produced" ....
it really is a gem
Not only that but at 29.95 grams it is the second heaviest imperial coin of Gallienus that I have ever noticed
The diameter being an ordinary 26-31mm
But at 6mm thick it can only be described as 'phat'
The seller described it as being "somewhat smoothed"
I really don't see it but my eyes aren't what they used to be
Then again it seems to have scared off most of my competition well enough .... so it must be true !
