Dear friends, I want to share my latest acquisition of the Extremely Rare Clodius Albinus denarius Alexandria mint. D CL SEPT ALBINO CAE , FORT REDVCI COS II with F in REDVCI instead E. The coin is from the same die with the coin of Elmer collection. http://www.fredericweber.com/SEPTIM..._fortuna.htm
That is a wonderful find and one that has eluded me. I have owned 4 examples of Albinus from Alexandria but none with this reverse. Mine have all bee the more common FECILITAS COS II, Felicitas standing half left, caduceus in right and scepter in left.
@maridvnvm - I was sure that you will appreciate this find. The coin was found in Eastern Europe on the border of Poland and Ukraine. How did it get there?
Nice pick up of the usurper who wanted to restore the Republic. Unfortunately, he left Britannia with all of his troops, leaving the island defenseless.
