While looking at 8 reales cobs yesterday, I came across a string of Maravillas wreck listings for $99 BIN's, complete with their COA's. Here's one.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Maravillas...284215008400

The photos in the listing are sketchy to say the least, but this looks like the dispersal of a bulk lot, possibly from an estate. From what I've seen of other listings, these are blobby corroded pieces of silver weighing 10-12 grams, with faint details.I don't suspect that these are counterfeits. As Daniel Sedwick says,

The wreck area is still being searched today, but officially the Bahamian government has not granted any leases on the site since the early 1990s. It is possible the bulk of the treasure is still to be found!

Hundreds of thousands of these things. Yes, they're real. Yes, they're piratey. But in the words of the Veg-O-Matic man Ron Popeil,

But wait! There's more!

Quite certain "But wait - there's more!" was trademarked by the late noted Coca-Cola fan Billy Mays...

The seller (a rather large outfit, does national advertising - certainly one who can/does do bulk buys) has been dribbling these out for like two years. Yes, most have been dreck - VERY few of the pieces they've put up have been even REMOTELY decent - but they've certainly sold most of what they've listed. They're fairly priced in this market.

But yeah, very typical look for much of the recovered Maravillas material. There are, it should be noted, also some REALLY nice Maravillas pieces out there. You just don't see the them on ebay anymore... no one's selling.
