My grandfather gave me one of those when I was ten years old. Crisp, no folds, saved by my great-grandfather in 1933.
I traded it to a currency collector about ten years ago for a 1-oz. Credit Suisse Gold Bar. Ironically, even my grandfather thought that was a good idea, because he said that gold was guaranteed to 'skyrocket' sometime in the next twenty years (from 1999). He was right, but I do miss the bill (especially that beautiful 'gold' ink reverse)!
I did see several nice examples at the last coin show, so I might buy another one in the future. The bill is now a real bargain when compared to the coinage that you could once trade it for!
