John1,
Thanks for the reply. So I'm curious, how do you know.? Not that I doubt your answer. I get too freaky to be actually mint, especially given the wrong sides being pressed.
If I soaked it in acetone do you think the glue would come off?

Yes, 100% acetone will help get it off. It's impossible for a mirror image to be struck like this, so you got it right. John just has an expert for these things. He would probably know it was glue with his eyes closed.

your 3rd coin could be a 'VICE' job. press the pattern onto another coin. Notice the very visible backwards 'N'.

your 2nd one is a bit dark to tell for me to see.

to CCF by the way

I acquired it along with a bunch of other stuff like tokens etc for $5. The lot included a bunch of over stamps which is why I really bought it. Hearts, smoker, USA. It was hard to pass up an "I Love You" over stamp on a penny!!

Dearborn,
The 2nd/3rd pics are obverse/reverse of the same 2nd coin. I figure the source puts them both on glue.
What didn't get posted was the obverse of the first coin. I need to read the tutorial (rtfm)!

A lot of them are plain old Elmer's glue.

Do you mean "Counter stamps"? If so some people here collect them, we'd love to see them, but in a separate thread some it won't be confusing. Thanks.

to the CCF!

Yes sorry, counter stamps. I am aware of that thread and love it. Probably one of the reasons I bought the lot, though there were a few tokens I also wanted. I believe the ones I have have all been mentioned in that thread,
