I still do it out of habit. Best thing I ever found was a $20 bill that blew past me into a wooded area as I was leaving a 7-11 some years ago. Took me ten minutes, but I finally found it!

I work at a large store and I primarily work outside, so I do on occasions find loose pocket change. My two best finds were a 1939 Jeffy nickel (not the ddr) and a incredible high grade 1964 Canadian nickel. Both were found on the pavement.

My dad and I once found a 1965 quarter on an island on the Wisconsin river (we were canoeing). We were exploring the different islands, and happened to find a random quarter on this particular island. Too bad it was not a year older (it would have been silver), but still cool to find.

My mom was out with some of her friends, and she found Two Cents (pennies) on the ground in a parking lot. They were just two newer cents, but still cool, and nice that she gave them to me.
