Hey all, my online searches came up with nothing...any thoughts on what the 'O' is above the date?

Looks to be a small droplet of some liquid that landed on the surface of the coin then leeched out to create the "O" effect - so just a stain.

It does look raised in the last picture, so it could be a dent from a fine-tipped object that displaced metal around it.
On second thought, it looks too uniform for that. Probably some sort of stain or very minor damage.

If voter suppression is not yet in play, I vote no to a stain.

The highest magnified view of the anomaly the posting offers suggests to my mind that the composition is metal particles drawn from the area from 12 o'clock around to 6 o'clock on the anomaly. I see a large cavity to the right of the anomaly probably caused by the needed donation.

My guess is it's a phenomenon of either internal or external electrolysis -- impurities in the alloy, perhaps or improper social distancing.

Is this raised above the surface of the coin?
