Would someone tell me if the feature I have an arrow pointing to identifying it as a Proto Rim, is - in fact - a Proto Rim which has survived a weak strike?
{Also called "Upset Rim".}

If the feature is not a Proto Rim, what is it?

It seems that this is not a Proto Rim.

The low, narrow, step along the internal margin of the design rim is probably due to Machine Doubling.
