That guy in the second photo looks like a doge to me

I think the correct attribution is Venice 1 soldino, Francesco Dandolo (1329-1339).
Obverse (the side with the standing figure), we can at least see (from about 12:00-2:00) + FRA.. and then from 7:00 to 11:00 DV ....DVX
