1992 Doubled Die Obverse / DDO With 2 Diff Colors On Either Side, Env. Damage Or Error?

Numismatiac Valued Member United States 67 Posts	Posted 04/08/2021 12:39 pm Hey everyone! I found this 1992 DDO with a brown obverse and a relatively shiny reverse. Given the extent of the doubling on the obverse, I'm wondering if the different colors on either could also be a mint error? Would love to hear your thoughts - thanks in advance! Scuba1 Valued Member United States 356 Posts	Posted 04/08/2021 1:05 pm This is just a common 1992 zinc Lincoln with a very thin copper plating. There is a lot of PMD on the obverse on the head and the discoloration you are seeing is simply environmental damage/discoloration. Very common on Zinc Lincolns. Not a mint error. ijn1944 Bedrock of the Community United States 19201 Posts	Posted 04/08/2021 1:34 pm I'm not seeing a doubled die obverse. I do see flattening of detail(s) and a heavy hit on Abe's head.
